5 nursing products we love

mybrestfriend-pillow.jpgMy Brest Friend
This isn’t your ordinary nursing pillow. I used this one for the first few months with my daughter. I love the slight curve of the pillow and the how it securely fastens around the waste. This pillow made it a lot easier to nurse my daughter and puts your baby in the most ideal position to nurse.

On a side note my husband even used the pillow. He liked to lay my daughter on the pillow and let her sleep on his lap so he could use both his hands to wok on the computer. To learn more about this pillow go to www.mybrestfriend.com.

We pulled this pillow out last week to get ready for the baby. My 2-year old has already laid claim on it, so we may have a little problem when the baby comes. We actually didn’t use this pillow at first; I didn’t use it when nursing. To find locations that sell the Boppy Pillow go to www.boppy.com.

We got the most of this pillow when my daughter was a little older. We would set her in the pillow to feed her while we were getting ready for work. I would definitely recommend this pillow.

madela-breast-pump.jpgMadela Breast Pump
This is a pricey breast pump but if you’re planning on nursing and pumping for more than a couple of months it’s worth the buy. You can often find used pumps for sale; just make sure you replace the little parts with brand new ones. More information is available about the Madela breast pump at www.madela.com.

nursing-bracelet.jpgUnique Mums Nursing Bracelet
Can’t remember when you last fed your baby? Which breast did you start on? Well this nursing bracelet has the answer and it’s stylish to boot. The bracelet meets the needs of the new mother who may be struggling to keep track of the last feeding. During the first few weeks after my daughter was born I was so exhausted I often forgot or would have to guess the last time I fed her. This bracelet helped relieve some of the stress that can come with breast feeding. Find out where to purchase yours today at www.thenursingbracelet.com

Milk Screen
This is a new product that I have yet to try for myself but is definitely interesting enough to add to the list. Mom’s now have a product in there arsenal to test the levels of alcohol in their breast milk. You can stop the “pump and dump” game, which doesn’t actually eliminate alcohol in breast milk and be confident that you’re providing the best milk for your baby. A little peace of mind goes a long way. Get yours today at www.milkscreen.com.
