back from the abc kids expo
My feet are still tired from all of the walking. But the ABC Kids Expo is over now I can relax my feet and look forward to adding some new products to LaLa Baby Boutique and to writing some product reviews for some new innovative baby products.
How was this years show different then 2007?
For one the show was extended to 5 days this year, which was exhausting for both exhibitors and buyers. We attended the event the last two days, and on the very last day you could see it has taken a toll on everyone. I wish I could attend at the beginning of the show while everyone is fresh and vamped. But those days are reserved for brick-and-mortar boutiques, so for now I’ll have to wait. There seemed to be a lot of exhibitors with prototypes this year for products coming soon.
The biggest different this year is that most retailers have a better understanding of what online retailers do and how they can help their company. Last year I got a lot of “No we don’t work with online retailers” or “No, we already have a website.” This year there I only stumbled across a few exhibitors that didn’t want to work with online boutiques.
So my plan was to take a ton of pictures and show you some of the really cool new products, until I saw the sign “No Camera’s allowed” but it seems like I was the only one that listened (regrettably) as I am finding a slew of pictures all over the web. At least I’ll be prepared next year. I did however snag a couple of pictures of Bizzie Princess testing out some of the products.

I also created a Best of the ABC Kids Expo Squidoo page, so when you get a chance please check it out. I’ll be adding to it throughout the next couple of months. This year I attending the show in a duel position as a retailer and a blogger/writer.

I love the stilts!! My kids would have a blast with those! Cute pic of your daughter in the sleeping bag! Looks like she enjoyed the expo too!
I checked out your online boutique and I was literally laughing outloud at some of those adorable baby t-shirts!! I especially love the “it ain’t gonna change itself” and “crib potato” shirts!! I just might have to splurge and order some of those for my younger twins!
