what’s in your wordpress

wordpress logoI heart Wordpress despite my little mishap the other day. I kept getting an error when trying to create a post on my store blog, which is a serious problem for blogging.

After my typical panic reaction, I re-installed Wordpress, but that didn’t fix the problem and even went to a backup since I was tinkering with the files earlier that day. Was I the one the f’d it up. So why I was freaking out, my other half says.

“Why don’t you just Google it?”

Of course I said, “I was just about to do that.”

So what does Google bring up…

Well the answer to my problem of course. A little tweak to the database and poof problem was solved and I was able to resume my posting activity.

Wordpress has an amazing support system, it’s easy to find solutions when you run into problems, it’s FREE, and it has a gazillion free templates you can borrow and some really cool plugins that are just as FREE (but except donations).

Thank you Wordpress Team for making a great open source product that is easy for even the novice designer or blogger. Thank you to all of the developers who spend their own time creating the really awesome plugins for Wordpress.

Here are the plugins that I use and love.

i’ve been tagged, 6 things nobody knows about me.

My TwitterMoms friends have started a game of Twitter-Tag! cgccoach tagged me (bizziemommy) and I’m it! So here we go…

I just updated my bio page last week, which suck I could have used two of the things on there.

  1. I saved my family from a bomb attack. We lived in Spain when I was little, yes a military brat. We were heading to dinner one evening and I begged for Chinese instead of BBQ. The next day we found out the BBQ restaurant had been bombed killing a few people and injury a bunch more. A couple of my teachers were actually at the restaurant and sustained injuries.
  2. I attended Howard University for a semester, but was too home sick to stay so I moved to Long Beach which was just 6 hours away from home.
  3. When my husband proposed to me I was at work, wearing the worst outfit and having the worst hair day imaginable. I threw the clothes out the next day vowing never to dress that bad again. It was bad, you can even ask him.
  4. When my husband and I met I thought he was a freshman in college, I was a junior so I didn’t talk to him for weeks.
  5. My son still sleeps in our bed and I don’t care, because I love getting some extra cuddle time.
  6. Before starting high school my family moved to a small new community with no cable TV barely any broadcast television. Luckily one other person moved there from my old school at the same time. We spent the entire summer riding our bikes and dare I say playing with Barbies – yes we were that bored.

So now its my turn to pick six more.

  • mybrownbaby
  • BabyFriendlyLA
  • savvymoms
  • babytimebags
  • geekycybermom
  • EcoMomma

Now, if you’ve been tagged with the meme game from twitter, you must post 6 things no one knows about you on your BLOG. Then you have to tag 6 more people. (don’t forget to let them know they’ve been tagged.) Leave me a message letting me know that you’ve accepted the tag. Let me know when you’ve posted your list and make sure there’s a link back to my BLOG. Have fun!!! Leave me a comment accepting the tag along with your BLOG so I can add a link.
