clickinmooms a community for mom photogs

by Stephanie Elie on November 18, 2009

clickinmomsIf you are a mom that always has her finger on the shutter than you absolutely need to check out clickinmoms.com.

I have been a member of the group for almost a year now and love the tips, advice, discounts I receive from my fellow photography loving moms. It’s not just for professionals (clearly I’m not one), it’s a community of professional, hobbyist and amateurs all coming together to help each other take better pictures.

ClickinMoms features some great easy to follow tutorials, lessons and challenges and fellow members are always happy to help and give advices to one another. Even though I am not a complete stranger to photographer I bought my DSLR almost a year ago and joined the site. I never felt intimidated to ask questions. It truly is a great group of woman.

Plus ClickinMoms works with several vendors to offer group buys, discounts and other things. I would have never known about some great deals on Phat Straps or the jill-e camera bags.

There is an affordable membership fee to join ClickinMoms at $8 per month or $30 for 6 months and $50 for a year.

I have been lucky enough to offer to offer a 1 year membership ($50) value to one of my lucky readers on bizziemommy.com.

I haven’t heard of clickinmoms before but it sounds like a pretty cool site. Anyway, I have a Sony A-700. I’ve had it for about 1 1/2 now so I really couldn’t justify spending additional money on the camera I REALLY want, which is a Nikon D700. I haven’t checked lately but I bet there is probably a newer and “better” camera out on the market by now.

I’m currently using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. I would love to have a lens better for portraits but they are over $500!

I am currently using a Nikon D40. I’m not in the market for a new camera, but I’m hoping to get a fisheye lens soon!

I am using a Canon EOS 50 D, which is fairly new and a big upgrade from my last camera. I learned about Clickin Moms and would really love a subscription. I can’t wait to learn from others! Thank you for the chance!
