j.lo’s twins never wear the same outfit twice

On the radio this morning I heard Jennifer Lopez being quoted saying, “She will never let her twins wear the same outfit twice.” I know she makes oodles more than I probably ever will. But talk about setting up your child with a false sense of reality. They are babies people! They won’t even notice the difference and frankly no one else will either.

By the time they are two Max and Emme will have gone through 730 outfits each, if she sticks to this plan. That is a total of 1460 outfits in TWO YEARS. That isn’t counting the multiple changes that will be necessary throughout the day. Let’s imagine she changes them each twice throughout the day. That means she will be wasting 2920 outfits in TWO YEARS! Let’s assume she spends $50 (and that is being on the super conservative side) on each item. That is $146,000 in two years on clothes that will only be worn once. WOW!

I do hope she is planning on giving those clothes away to charity. I do not hate. Even if I did have an extra $146,000 to spend so my kids would only wear an outfit once in their lives, I wouldn’t do it. That is just silly, impractical and a total waste of money. They are babies. What kind of example is this setting?

One Response to “j.lo’s twins never wear the same outfit twice”

I asked myself this question. If I had more money than I could spend in a lifetime would I have the same attitude. My response to that question, maybe. When you have millions you don’t worry about $146,000, lol.

Most celebrities will dish out more money on one outfit or item than most people spend in a month on their mortgage. That’s Hollywood! Besides, her children will receive perks from designers and other boutiques for the publicity alone.

Regardless of her spoiling them rotten, she can set an example in other ways. I hope she raises them with a strong sense of self worth and a deep understanding of morals and values. It is possible to do both. I wish her well in her new role as a mother.
