This Monday I had the opportunity to attend a Kodak photo expo event for mom bloggers in the southern California area. It was an Irvine so it was a bit of a hike for me, but well worth the time and gas.
The event took place at Scan My Photos International upon arrival I was immediately greeted by Mitch and his staff with sandwiches and snacks from Panera Bread, mimosas and Voss water. And guess who I ran into why there, Caryn from rockinmama.net, if you haven’t seen her blog be sure to check it out.

After a quick introduction on how the Kiosks work we were invited to print photos and try out all of the different photo products that are available to make. I printed several 4×6 pictures, a photo memory book, a huge poster, and even created a DVD video. I only wish I brought ALL my photos like the advised. My thumb drive didn’t work; luckily I had some photos still in my camera. Every thing was printed and ready to go within 30 minutes.
My original plan was to create a photo book of just Bizzie Boy but then a little voice in my head, aka BP was saying, “Mommy where is my picture?” So I ended up mixing everything.
I started with the photo book which was easy to make. In fact the hardest part was selecting the perfect photos. The Kodak Kiosk allows you to perform simple crops and edits of each photo.

Next I made 8 x 11 photo collage and then finally the big poster. You can also make prints in your choice of sizes, greeting cards and even calendars.

My favorite product is the photo memory book. I have been trying to figure out what to do with all of my digital photos taken residents on my hard drive. I tried scrapbooking and it just wasn’t for me. But creating photo memory books is right up my alley. I just have to find a Kodak Kiosk closer to home.
ScanMyPhotos/30 Minute Photos Etc. has more than just Kodak Kiosks for customers to print out their memories. In the back office behind the scenes Mitch scans thousands of print photos and transfers them to DVD for families like you and me. You know the pictures stacked in grandma and grandpa’s attic. Or in my case the 1000’s of photos my father took when we were children and all the photos he took professionally and artistically. He’s a seasoned photographer and has enough prints to fill a small room. All prints are transferred using high end Kodak equipment and transferred to DVD and cataloged for your enjoyment.
History of ScanMyPhotos
It started in 1990, when 30 Minute Photos etc. began as a boutique retail photo center, headquartered in Inrvine, California. Today the company and its digital imaging retail photo center also operate a national online photo ordering service and regularly makes national news for their leadership, entrepreneurial innovations and super fast service.
All photo scanning jobs are processed and shipped the same day they are received ensuring your photos are back to you safely as fast as possible.
