life begins outside your comfort zone

“Life begins outside your comfort zone,” my new words to live by!

I’ve been living in a bubble for most of my life, always sitting, well more like hiding under the radar. I can’t even say when it started, but I know it was early in life. I didn’t even see anything wrong with it until I got older. I’m talking two kids and a hubby older.

I’ve spent my past life just getting by. I wasn’t a bad student in high school, but I didn’t really strive to get better, I was comfortable with just getting by. I did go on to college and even there, I didn’t venture outside my comfort zone. I stayed with what I knew.
Now I can’t say I really regret the past, because my past is what brought me my two wonderful children and great husband. What I can say is that I am going to strive to be better. Better for my daughter; better for myself.

I am going to pursue my dreams, instead of dream about them.
I am going to act on my fears, instead of hiding behind them.
I am going to be me, instead of pretend to be someone else.
I am going to climb out of my comfort zone, and try something new.

Because…

Life begins outside my comfort zone and I am ready to start living!

It is hard to put ourselves out there, isn’t it? Good for you. I wish you the best.

Well said. I’m working on this every day now, having been a “getting by” on my innate gifts person all my life. I will achieve my fullest potential!

I really need to get out of my comfort zone, too. It’s just so easy to stay in a routine. Thanks for the reminder!

It is always great to try to stretch yourself. I usually find I have the most fun when I bring people I love with me!

Is it the season? Because I’ve been telling myself very similar things lately. Good luck!
