lil’ bizzie boy and his new kicks
There is nothing stopping him now, Bizzie Boy just got his first set of REAL kicks. After work on Friday we took the kids to the mall on a mission, we needed a costume for Bizzie Princess and some new WALKING shoes for Bizzie Boy. We saved big on dinner because they were selling dinners-to-go at the kids’ school, $4 for orange chicken and rice dinners. It was pretty tasty and Bizzie Princess approved, because she ate hers and a little bit of mine as well.
We took Bizzie Princess to the Disney store where she picked up the Ariel Mermaid costume and matching shoes that were both 40% off and a Belle Costume which was 50% off. We didn’t need the Belle shoes because we already had them at home. Our Halloween costume shopping was done in 15 minutes or less. Yes! I was bummed they didn’t have any cute costumes for Bizzie Boy, they had an adorable Minnie costume but the Mickey costume wasn’t as cute. So I decided I would look for something for him someplace else.
After costume shopping it was time to get Bizzie Boy his kicks. They don’t have too many stores that carry shoes for babies so we just went to Stride Rite. We got lucky because they were having a store wide sale and I was able to find a pair of shoes that were also on sale. So it was a double sale, a sale of a sale, a um – you get the point. So I walked out spending $20 on a pair of shoes that normally cost $44. Gold Star for mom! He’ll probably grow out of them in two weeks then I’ll have to fork over $44 for a new pair. I should have bought the next size up when I was there. Lost my chance on a good bargain!
We snuck in some Pink Berry and let the kids play in the play area until the mall closed. I looked around at all of the other parents, and realized we are all there for the same reason. To tire out our kids enough so they’ll fall asleep in the car so we can have a quiet relaxing rest-of-the night at home.
