What inspired you start your business?
A desire to help others succeed combined with a desire to have my own gig.

How long has your business been in business?
Almost 3 years

What did you do in your past work life?
Director of Operations for a service firm and account executive for office equipment and supplies company

What is your ideal workday like?
Speaking to a group of entrepreneurs and working one-on-one with one of my fabulous clients.

What have been some of your major successes?
Outstanding workshops at the COSE Small Business Conference; contributing expert on smallbiztrends.com; asked to be a member of the Top Sales Experts consortium; co-founded Seize True Success, Coaching for Franchisees.

What have been some of your major challenges?
Working out of my home – staying focused.

On those impossible days, what motivates you to keep going?
Remembering why I launched my business.

Do you have a motivational quote?
I have a couple-
Embrace the possibilities (that’s mine)
Action Alleviates Anxiety (that’s mine too)

What is your balancing secret in managing a business and family?
I stop working when my family comes home. I leave my work in my office and focus on my kids and husband. I also don’t fret over doing family stuff during the work day. Leaning into it is liberating and I’m more productive when I include everything I can.

If there was one piece of advice you could give to your children about running a successful business, what would it be?

Do what you love.

Do you have a favorite business tool and/or resource?

My coach, Shann, is a life saver for me. She helps me plan and stay on task.

What is next for your business?

I’m going to increase my workshops and speaking engagements. My goal is to speak on a national level.
