S-H-E-M-A Gurls is a Network that promotes coming together for Unity, Charity, Faith And Hope. Providing space and opportunity to socialize, donate, recognize and benefit with friendship networking, business networking, love, care, laughter and some real talk.

What inspired you start your business?

The original inspiration for this company was to build the confidence in women to live their dreams to the fullest. Teaching them to take time for themselves to reach ultimate goals.

How long has your business been in business?
S-H-E-M-A Gurls Began in 2006

What did you do in your past work life?
I am CEO and administrator of a family trucking company…so transportation and public relations has been most of my past work.

What is your ideal workday like?
My work day has no real beginning and end. Driving active teens to school and destinations, working the Trucking company, making calls, cooking cleaning, keeping up with S-H-E-M-A, helping my mother with the business direction of her day care and writing proposals is what I do in a run of a day.

What have been some of your major successes?
Beginning to write my poetry again and my most major is my children…I am so proud of them.
What have been some of your major challenges?
Challenges we face with the S-H-E-M-A Network right now is funding.

On those impossible days, what motivates you to keep going?

What keeps me going is the fact that I know I children are silently watching me. I always want them to see me as a woman of my word and a success.

Do you have a motivational quote?
Dream the impossible and through faith it become tangible.

What is your balancing secret in managing a business and family?
I balance by never being afraid or ashamed to ask for help. No true success is reached alone. Thus, asking for help keeps me grounded while still having time to be a mom, friend, sister, daughter and just me.

If there was one piece of advice you could give to your children about running a successful business, what would it be?
Be real make sure the business is you passion.
Be consistent rather you see returns or not.
Stick with it even when the chips are down.
Stay focused.
Never give up.

Do you have a favorite business tool and/or resource?
Our favorite is WORD of MOUTH second is the internet, which is an unlimited tool.

What is next for your business?
S-H-E-M-A Gurls will become a brand in the near future. This brand will include a T-shirt line and accessories. we also wish to create a stiletto shoe line as well.
