This is part two of my life resolution which will cover both my online baby boutique business as well as my goals as a blogger.
Business Goals
As most of you know my goal is to transition into a WAHM role permanently eliminating the need to work for someone else. I have an online baby boutique that I am hoping will generate enough income to replace my current position. In order to do this I need to meet several milestones. My goal is to maintain a minimum sales volume of 10 sales per day. In order to do this I will need to increase my brand awareness through marketing and pr efforts. I will be adding new products once a month and will be launching a newsletter campaign by the end of January. I am planning on attending the ABC Show again this year as well as Baby Celebration and the MOM2Be Expo.
Professional Goals
My professional goals will probably be the most difficult to achieve but they are also the ones that I am most excited about. I have to admit I have become addicted to blogging and social networking.
My traffic goal for bizziemommy.com is to double traffic and readership every quarter. I also plan on doubling ad revenue every quarter. This will include ad revenue from my upcoming business directory. My hope is that bizziemommy.com becomes a recognized resource for mom entrepreneurs. I would also love to win a blog award for the site.
To help expand the network I plan on inviting one guest blogger per month to write on an entrepreneurial related topic. In addition I hope to contribute to several blog and write one post a week on another blog.
I would love to attend one major blogging event, BlogWorld, BlogHer, Blissdom. I am hoping to pick up a sponsor for one of these events. I would also like to become a “mom ambassador” for one of my favorite brands, Nintendo, Canon, Blackberry, Volkswagen, or even Dell.
This year I hope to get PAID freelance writing assignments. I plan on revamping my online portfolio to match my updated skills and talents and hope to get it live the end of the 1st quarter of the year.
I just recently purchased the Canon Rebel XS. I’m still waiting for it to be delivered, don’t ask it’s a touchy subject. Because I haven’t picked up a SLR let alone a digital SLR in a really long time. I have a lot to learn. So I plan on taking digital photography classes and reading tutorials. I’m also on the look out for some great digital photography instructional blogs, so if you know of any please leave a comment and let me know about it. I am hoping my Dad and I can take a “photography” trip when I visit them in February.
