on the eve of election day

Tomorrow is Election Day and it will probably go down in history as one of the most important and historical elections in history at least in my life time. My husband and I have been following the campaign very closely, watching the debates, reading about propositions and learning more about the key issues in the state and nation.

We recorded the debates so we could watch them without kids screaming in the background. We taught Bizzie Princess to tell parents at her school “Obama for President.” She can’t say it right though, she says “Obama o President!” Bu it’s close enough, right?

I am very nervous about this election and wondering what is going to happen once our new President is announced. This campaign has brought out the ugly in a lot of people.

Elisabeth from The View told one of her co-hosts that “She should stop drinking the Obama kool-aide.” I was surprised she didn’t get publicly reprimanded for making such a comment.

We can’t forget Ashley Todd who faked getting beat by a “black man” because she was a volunteer for the McCain campaign. Did anyone else notice that the B is backwards, makes since if you’re creating it yourself in front a mirror? I’m not sure what she was thinking, did she really think that police wouldn’t investigate further. Wow is all I have to say.

I decided to compile some of the most shocking moments captured during this campaign.

One

The Anchorage Daily News is excited that one of their own has been tapped for national office, but the editors just don’t think Sarah Palin is qualified:

Gov. Palin’s nomination clearly alters the landscape for Alaskans as we survey this race for the presidency — but it does not overwhelm all other judgment. … despite her formidable gifts, few who have worked closely with the governor would argue she is truly ready to assume command of the most important, powerful nation on earth. To step in and juggle the demands of an economic meltdown, two deadly wars and a deteriorating climate crisis would stretch the governor beyond her range. Like picking Sen. McCain for president, putting her one 72-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the free world is just too risky at this time.

The paper, the largest in the very conservative state, concludes that Obama brings “far more promise” to the office of the presidency than John McCain.

Thanks Christopher Weber he really makes you think, why would her own newspaper chose Obama over McCain. I have a feeling those reporters know the “real” Palin.

Two

This is the day Obama was chosen to represent the Democratic Party. An important day in history.

Three

This is my favorite interview between Palin and Katie Couric. How could Palin not name just one magazine? Vogue, Time, Self, Shape that only took a couple of seconds.

Four

Joe the Plumber will probably be in the history book as well. Joe the Plumber became an overnight Token and was bounced around between Palin and McCain for weeks and weeks. Want to hear a song about it, hear it goes…

Then after all the hoopla everyone blamed Obama for all of Joe the Plumber new problems, the reporters uncovered a lien. Last time I checked you probably won’t get a business loan when you have a lien. He will probably need Obama tax plan now.

Five

I think this video is what scared me the most during the campaign. I mean seriously what city do they live in, so I can make sure I never go there, ever!

Six

I absolutely love this post by Dear Red States on www.dirtandnoise.com. It’s a good read, so check it out when you get a chance.

Tomorrow will be a history making day, so please do your part and vote.

For more of the same, vote McCain. If you’re looking for change than choose Obama.
