out in la: national mom’s night out

by Stephanie Elie on May 16, 2009

mintForgive me; I am weeks behind on my blog posts and having a house filled with sick people didn’t help. However, everyone is slowly recovering, the Hubs is still out of commission, but the rest of us are doing much better.

So I know it’s a little late but I wanted to tell you how much fun I had at the local Mom’s Night Out event. It first began on twitter where I won a $100 gift card to Leaps and Bounds.  I can’t wait to go shopping. Then after work I headed to Mint in Los Angeles.

I immediately ran into Caryn from rockinmama.net, which has a weird irony if you know our relationship. We live on opposite ends of the county, I’m in the valley and she lives WAY out in Orange County, but we always manage to run into each other.

The event was very relaxing and conversational. I’m so glad to have met Kimberley Clayton Blaine founder of TheGoToMom.TV and author of the Mommy Confidence book, Romi Lassally, founder of TrueMomConfessions.com,  Megan Clahoun from twittermoms.com, Mallika Chopra from intent.com, and Michelle Lamar from whitetrashmom.com.

If you haven’t read the Mommy Confidence book I would recommend checking it out, you can see my review on BizzieMommy.com. If you are looking for a good laugh, then be sure to also check out Romi Lassally’s book True Mom Confessions.

The food was delicious, the giveaways were amazing, the company was great and the event was a blast. I was the lucky winner of one of the gift baskets that included products from Medela, Bebe Au Lait, Milk Screen, Epicuran Baby Skin Care, MD Mom, and Mustla.

I can’t wait to attend next year’s Annual Mom’s Night Out Event.

Thank you Pump Station for sponsoring such a great event.
