tackle it tuesday

Tackle it Tuesday was created by the ladies at www.5minutesformom.com, thank ladies for creating this type of post that encourages us to get some project completed no matter how large or small. This week I decided to do something I haven’t done in a long time. I stayed off the computer and didn’t work (I had a few 5 minute lapses, which I have to admit in case some of my twitter friends saw me online).

As most of you know I work at home and have been working hard to get my part-time business enough juice so I can leave the work force and become a WAHM. Unfortunately this plan is leaving me little time to do anything else. This past month I was working full-time, working on a freelance web design project, and working on my store shipping out products, writing blog posts and adding new products.

So instead of working I decided to take a break and spend some time with my family. I made baby food for my son. Which is easier than I remembered. And I just love my industrial strength blender.

my daughter and I made brownies and I got to spend some quality time with my husband. It was probably the most enjoyable night I had in a long time. I played with the kids, watched my 9 month old Bizzie Boy practice walking across the living room, man is he getting good.

Despite all of our stress that is going on in our lives, at work and in the economy, today was a good day.

Thank you ladies for 5minutesformom.com you gave me the motivation to take some time out of my day and enjoy the most important people in my life.

No let me think, what should I tackle next Tuesday?

Great job “unplugging”! I am guilty of staying a little too wired myself! I wish I was as comfortable in the kitchen as you!

Wow…I’m impressed! I might try it. I’ll be my kids and hubby would appreciate it too.
